"Fabulous morning canyoning in Angon"
Booked myself and my ten year old son for a morning of canyoning- Monte Medio had come highly recommended by friends locally. The whole experience was great. Daniel, the guide was first class. It was very apparent that his absolute priority was to show his guests a great time in a safe manner, without coming across as overbearing or patronizing, which can often be the case when taking part in an activity with a ten year old. He made sure my son was safe at all times, but allowed him the freedom to really explore and enjoy the activity, which led to a hugely rewarding experience for him. A great experience and one which was great to share!

"Canyoning with Romain"
Our family were staying in Lake Annecy without a car and rang Monté Médio to discuss our options re via ferrata, canyoning etc. They were extremely helpful, with lots of advice on transport options etc. after catching a boat to Talloires and a short walk to Angon we relaxed at the beach next to the base. We did the Angon Canyon Discovery with Romain as our guide - and ended up being the only booking, so had the tour to ourselves! It was our first time canyoning and we all loved it. Romain was engaging and confident and made sure everyone felt safe and enjoyed their experience. It was the highlight of our 3 teenage children’s 3 weeks in France. Thank you Monté Médio and Romain!

"Had a great time"
We (me, my husband and teenage daughter) did the canyoning discovery tour (Angon). All the equipment and clothing was included. The walk up the hill was warm (it was 31 Celsius that afternoon) but well worth it! Vincent, our guide, took the time to explain the techniques (abseil/slides/jumps etc) and it was just awesome to descend in many different was through the canyon. We can highly recommend Monte Medio for canyoning.

    What is the canyoning?

    Canyoning or Canyoneering is a sport at the half way of hiking, climbing, caving and withe water sports. Canyoning allows you to descent little rivers by feet or by swimming. Depending on what the nature offers to the circuit you go, you can have some jumps, slides or abseils. The region of Annecy lends itself very well to the practice of the Canyoning Annecy. There are many sites of canyoning in Haute-Savoie and the guides of canyoning Monté Médio provide a great canyoning experience in complete safety on descents of any levels.

    Where is the Monté Médio Canyoning Annecy base?

    Our canyoning base is located in Angon next to the beautiful little village of Talloires. It takes half an hour to come from the city center of Annecy to our base. Here is our address: 228 route du ponton, 74290 Talloires Possibility to come by bus (line 20) from Annecy, by boat with the boat company or even by bike by the cycle path, ask us for our special canyoning and bike rental pack. By car or by bike, from Annecy, turn right just after the lake campsite to park in the large car park (free). By bus (free in July and August), line 60 Annecy Talloires, Angon stop, at the Lanfonnet campsite, take the small road that goes towards the lake to reach our chalet.

    What do we need to come Canyoning Annecy?

    To come to make of the canyoning with Monté Médio, you will only need a pair of sneakers and your swimsuit to put under the wetsuit. We supply you the equipment, the complete wetsuit in two parts, socks néoprène, a helmet and a harness. The equipment is always washed, rinsed then dried after every use… Think of fastening hair and if you wear glasses plan a cordon not to lose them. You can leave your personal belongings in our chalet while you leave in the canyon.

    When can we do Canyoning Annecy?

    The best season for canyoning in Annecy is summer. In general, the season begins in early May in the Angon canyon and in June in the Montmin canyon. You can do canyoning until October. In inter season, it is better to go climbing or via ferrata and in winter skiing.

    Which canyoning course to choose?

    The canyon of the Angon mailbox is located on the lower part of the canyon of Angon is the ideal formula to learn about Canyoning Annecy. Indeed, this course includes everything that canyoning can offer you: jumps, slides, abseiling, short walks and a little swimming! The Angon Canyon Improvement is one of the most beautiful canyoning courses in Annecy. It begins first with a fabulous 35-meter abseil down the Angon waterfall. The rest of the descent is a superb succession of walking, swimming, toboggans, jumps and abseiling. If you are sporty and if you want thrills, choose the Montmin canyon. It’s a long and beautiful descent with lots of jumps and slides. In summary, the Montmin canyon is the most fun and aquatic course in Canyoning Annecy.

    Have you already experienced canyoning under the supervision of a professional and would like to progress so that you can do it independently? The Monté Médio canyoning guides offer courses to teach you all the techniques essential for canyoning. To guide you in this learning you will start with the level 1 autonomy course. During weekends and over 2 days, you will learn basic techniques for descending easy to little difficult canyons.
